CLASSIC CAR AND MOTORCYCLE SALE WILL BE A HIGHLIGHT OF THE CONCOURS

There will be a Classic Car and Motorcycle Sale at the 2010 AccessKenya Africa Concours d’Elegance scheduled for Sunday September 26th, 2010. Well kept cars and motorcycles are few in number compared to unwanted classics (made in 1985, or earlier). The Sale will link owners of these machines with the motoring enthusiasts who are interested in buying a classic at the event.

In addition, the availability of second-hand Japanese vehicles has diminished the value of old cars and motorcycles for use as daily transport. Consequently there is little scope for selling such machines except to enthusiasts”.

The Classic Sale at the AccessKenya Africa Concours d’Elegance is a golden opportunity for the owners of cars and bikes which are 25 years old, or older, to offer them for sale to individuals who are fascinated by such machines. Entries are limited to 30 on a first come first served basis regardless of the condition of the vehicles and the closing date is September 15th.

There is a growing classic car cult which attracts people who like to own a distinctive old car for weekend driving. Others relate these classic vehicles to their past. Perhaps they have a family history, or owned one long ago. Some appreciate the line and style of an old vehicle. Classics look, drive and perform differently from modern cars.

Some individuals collect classic cars and motorcycles as an investment. They know these machines are of interest to the right people who may use them as sources of spare parts, or for business such as renting for weddings. The investor will sell a classic at a profit to someone who is searching for that particular vehicle.

The Classic Sale has in the past 14 years created an ideal opportunity for owners of unwanted cars and motorcycles to reach potential buyers from among the thousands of
motoring enthusiasts who attend the Concours.

The Regulations and entry forms for the Classic Sale are available on the Concours website www.concourskenya.com and from the Bob Dewar Publicity offices on the second floor of Block G, Norfolk Towers, Kijabe Street.  Telephone enquiries may be to Elizabeth Omondi on 2229793, or 316160 during office hours.
